1. Personal Development

A Programme for

Transition Year students.

‘Becoming Who I Really Am.’

 THE CONTEXT: 

The programme supports the TY Co-ordinator’s mission to provide their Transition Year students with a holistic and challenging year of experiential learning. This programme specifically coaches students to avail of a set tools to develop self-awareness and challenges them to assume responsibility for their personal development. In addition to appreciating the life skill of drawing on their supports and asking for assistance.

To Consider, to Decide and most importantly to Act. 

PROGRAMME OVERVIEW:

The day-long facilitated workshop is suitable for groups of 20-25 students featuring Life Coaching exercises interspersed with energiser games. Each student will be afforded the opportunity to consider their personal journey of 'Becoming who I really am'. The programme will focus on the well-being of the students by exploring self-awareness, gratitude, connection, and service to others. The programme will provide students with appropriate Life Coaching tools to serve them well as they prepare for senior cycle and begin to forge their own path.

I will personally facilitate the programme. Schools I currently work with St. Benildus College, Loreto Dalkey, Cluny of Killiney, St David’s Greystones, Loreto Bray, St Laurence College Loughlinstown, Colaiste Rathín Bré and Kilcoole. I am the coordinator and facilitator of National University Ireland Galway’s accredited Dermot Earley Youth Leadership Initiative.

FEES: Fees include a bespoke design and delivery of the programme to the needs of the school, preparatory work and session materials. Professional fees amount to €525 per day’s facilitation.

‘Becoming Who I Really Am.’

Content and format;

Small groups of 3 are assigned tasks that will invite them to discuss issues that will allow them to explore their own thinking and in addition to learn from the insight of the others. Each group will then feedback into the big group. The tasks will be interspersed with storytelling and a series of energisers.

Student Leadership Workshop

The Context:

This half- day workshop creates a space for secondary school students to consider who they are and how they wish to impact their school community as individuals and as collective leaders.

Programme overview:

This course would suit students in a mentoring role in their school or leadership roles in the senior end of the school.

Students are guided through a series of self- reflection exercises to equip themselves with the confidence to lead.

Students will learn to articulate their Leadership and Communication Style in addition to their Personality type.

Students will decide who they wish to serve and how they will serve them best.

I will personally facilitate the programme. Schools I currently work with on this programme include Coláiste Chraobh Abhann Wicklow, Cluny of Killiney, St David’s Greystones, Loreto Bray, St Laurence College Loughlinstown and Colaiste Rathín Bré. I am the coordinator and facilitator of National University Ireland Galway’s accredited Dermot Earley Youth Leadership Initiative.

Fees:

This half day workshop for up to 20 students is delivered by Coach Kevin at a fee of €295.
